Kevin Ansi – Director Kevans

Ansi “Kevans” Kevin is a Nigerian filmmaker and director with a visual voice shaped by his foundation in cinematography and editing. His approach to filmmaking is rooted in control, atmosphere, and emotional precision. He is drawn to stories that carry tension beneath the surface. Whether working on narrative films, episodic projects, or commercial pieces, he focuses on performance, framing, and pacing to shape how an audience feels rather than simply what they see. Because of his background behind the camera and in the edit room, Kevans approaches directing with an understanding of the entire filmmaking process. He composes with intention, shoots with the cut in mind, and builds rhythm long before post-production begins. Alongside narrative filmmaking, he is deeply interested in travel and documentary work. Capturing real spaces and unscripted human moments allows him to explore atmosphere and emotional truth beyond scripted structure. Based in Lagos and originally from Jos, Kevans has collaborated with government institutions, foreign missions, entertainment talents, and independent creatives across Nigeria. Through Krafted Filmworks, he continues to develop original film projects while extending his directing voice into commercial and branded spaces.
